Taeniasis is an infection caused by the tapeworm parasites of the taenia species. it is acquired by eating undercooked, contaminated pork or beef. the tapeworm larvae can migrate to other organs and cause symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. in some cases, the larvae can also cause cysts and other complications.

What happens during the disease - taeniasis, unspecified

Taeniasis is an infection caused by the ingestion of tapeworm eggs or larvae, which can be found in contaminated food or water. once inside the body, the larvae migrate to the intestines where they attach to the intestinal wall and mature into adult worms. this can result in abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. if left untreated, the infection can spread to other organs, leading to more serious complications such as cysticercosis.
