Impetigo is a skin infection caused by bacteria, usually streptococcus or staphylococcus, which leads to the development of red sores that can ooze fluid and form a yellow-brown crust. it is most commonly seen in children, although adults can also be affected, and is spread through direct contact with an infected person or object.
