Occupant of pick-up truck or van injured in noncollision transport accident is a type of injury that occurs when a person outside the vehicle is injured in a non-traffic accident, such as a rollover or a collision with an object, while the vehicle is in motion. this can result in serious injuries due to the force of the impact and the lack of protection from the vehicle.

The pathogenesis of injury in this type of accident is due to the sudden deceleration of the vehicle when it comes to a stop, causing the occupant on the outside of the vehicle to be thrown forward and suffer impact injuries. the occupant may also suffer lacerations, fractures, and other soft tissue injuries due to the force of the impact. the severity of the injury depends on the speed of the vehicle, the size and weight of the occupant, and the type of surface on which the vehicle came to a stop.
