Gastric ulcer - what does this mean

Gastric ulcers are caused by an imbalance between the digestive juices in the stomach and the protective mucus lining of the stomach wall. this imbalance can be caused by a variety of factors including the use of certain medications, smoking, alcohol use, and infection by the bacteria helicobacter pylori.

What happens during the disease - gastric ulcer

Единого механизма, обусловливающего возникновение боли у лиц, страдающих язвенной болезнью, нет. Боль может быть вызвана раздражением нервных окончаний дна язвы кислым содержимым или пищей. Стойкое повышение кислотности, перевозбуждение блуждающего нерва также могут способствовать возникновению спазмов.

 

Большая роль в язвообразовании отводится инфекции H. pylori, которая действует двояко: с одной стороны — бактерии прикрепляются к клеткам, вырабатывают токсины и вызывают воспаление, что делает слизистую оболочку чувствительнее к воздействию агрессивных факторов; с другой — вырабатывают определённые вещества, из-за чего клетки желудка вырабатывают излишнюю соляную кислоту.
