Rhinosporidiosis - what does this mean

Rhinosporidiosis is an infectious disease caused by a protozoan parasite, rhinosporidium seeberi, which is found in water and soil. it is spread through direct contact with infected mucous membranes, or through inhalation of contaminated water droplets. the parasite can cause lesions in the mucous membranes of the nose, throat, and eye, leading to a range of symptoms such as runny nose, nasal obstruction, and eye inflammation.
