Yellow nail syndrome - what does this mean

Yellow nail syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by yellow or greenish-yellow nails, swelling of the hands and feet, and respiratory problems such as sinusitis and bronchiectasis. it is caused by a combination of factors, including an abnormal lymphatic system, an overproduction of mucus, and a decrease in the production of proteins that normally help keep the nails healthy.

What happens during the disease - yellow nail syndrome

Yellow nail syndrome is a rare disorder characterized by yellow discoloration and thickening of the nails, as well as lymphedema of the extremities. it is thought to be caused by chronic inflammation of the lymphatic vessels, which leads to impaired lymphatic drainage and accumulation of lymphatic fluid in the tissues. this can result in swelling of the extremities, and can also cause the nails to become thickened and discolored.
