What happens during the disease - rhinophyma

Rhinophyma is a rare skin disorder that is caused by an overgrowth of sebaceous glands in the nose. it is believed to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as excessive sun exposure and/or chronic irritation from the nose, leading to an increase in the size of the sebaceous glands and an overproduction of sebum. this leads to the formation of thickened, red, and bumpy skin on the nose, as well as a decrease in the size of the nasal passages.
