Abnormal head movements are a symptom of a variety of medical conditions. It can manifest as jerking, shaking, or repetitive movements of the head or neck. It may begin suddenly, or develop gradually over time. Depending on the underlying cause, the movements can be continuous or intermittent, mild or severe. It can be accompanied by other symptoms such as difficulty speaking, impaired coordination, or seizures.
