Apraxia is a neurological disorder characterized by difficulty in executing motor tasks, despite having the physical ability and knowledge to do so. It affects the ability to perform purposeful movements, such as brushing one's hair or buttoning a shirt. Symptoms can range from mild to severe, and can manifest differently depending on the person. Common signs of apraxia include difficulty speaking, difficulty sequencing movements, and difficulty with fine motor tasks. In severe cases, the person may not be able to speak or perform any purposeful movements.
