Muscular atrophy is a condition in which muscles become weaker and thinner over time due to lack of use. It can be caused by a variety of conditions, including spinal cord injuries, stroke, muscular dystrophy, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Symptoms of muscular atrophy include weakness and wasting of the muscles, decreased muscle mass, reduced muscle strength, and difficulty performing activities that require strength or agility. In severe cases, the muscles may become so weak that they are unable to support the body's weight. As the condition progresses, the muscles may become flaccid, and the skin may become thin and shiny.
