Photopsy is a symptom that involves the development of small, yellow-white spots on the skin. These spots can range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters and may appear as a single spot or as multiple spots. They are typically painless, but may be itchy and can be accompanied by a burning sensation. The spots may darken over time and may become scaly or crusty. In some cases, the spots may become raised and filled with fluid. Photopsy is caused by an overgrowth of certain types of bacteria and can be treated with topical medications.
