Dry cough

A dry cough is an irritating, hacking cough that does not produce any mucus or phlegm. It is often worse at night and can last for several weeks. It can be caused by a variety of conditions such as allergies, asthma, or a respiratory infection. It is characterized by a tickle in the throat, a feeling of tightness in the chest, and a need to continuously clear the throat. It can also cause difficulty in breathing, wheezing, and difficulty sleeping. In some cases, it can be accompanied by a sore throat, hoarseness, and chest pain.
