Clubfoot is a congenital deformity of the foot, characterized by the foot being twisted out of shape and pointing downwards. It usually develops in the womb, and is usually noticed at birth. The foot may be rotated inwards or outwards, and the heel may be turned inwards. The affected foot may be smaller than the other foot, and the muscles and tendons may be abnormally tight. Treatment may include casting, splinting, and surgery.
