Low body temperature (25-32°C) is a symptom of a medical condition in which the body is unable to maintain its normal temperature range. It can have a range of causes, from exposure to cold temperatures to certain medical conditions. Symptoms may include shivering, feeling cold, and a decrease in appetite. In more severe cases, confusion, fatigue, and a decrease in alertness may occur. Low body temperature can be caused by infection, dehydration, or a malfunctioning thyroid gland. Treatment includes increasing the body temperature, either through clothing, blankets, or warm drinks, and addressing the underlying cause.
