Drooping upper eyelid

Drooping of the upper eyelid (ptosis) is a condition in which the upper eyelid droops, sometimes covering the pupil of the eye. It can be caused by a variety of conditions, including nerve damage, muscle weakness, or trauma. It can also be present at birth. Drooping of the upper eyelid is usually gradual, but can be sudden in some cases. It can cause vision problems, such as double vision or impaired vision.
