Erysipelas

If you experience any symptoms, please consult a doctor

Erysipelas is a skin infection that causes a red, swollen, and tender area of skin. It typically starts as a small, red, raised area that develops into a larger patch. It is caused by certain types of bacteria, such as Streptococcus or Staphylococcus. Symptoms may include fever, chills, and swollen lymph nodes. The area of skin may also have a distinctive honey-colored crust. Erysipelas can be treated with antibiotics and may require hospitalization in severe cases.
