Cervical dystonia is a neurological disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions in the neck that cause the head to twist and turn into abnormal positions. It can cause pain, stiffness, and spasms in the neck and shoulders. Symptoms often start gradually and can worsen over time. Common manifestations of cervical dystonia include head tilting, chin tucking, and shoulder shrugging. These movements can be painful and can interfere with daily activities.
