Brudzinsky's symptom is a neurological sign seen in infants with meningitis. It is characterized by flexion of the head and legs when the infant is pulled to a sitting position while lying on their back. This symptom develops as the inflammation of the meninges progresses and is caused by the irritation of the meninges. Symptoms can vary from mild to severe, and can also include neck stiffness, lethargy, fever, and vomiting. In some cases, the symptom may be accompanied by signs of a bulging fontanelle or a stiff neck.
