Salivation

(Drooling, Spitting, Secretion, Slavering, Foaming, Drool, Drops, Mouthwatering, Watering, Oozing)

Salivation is the production of saliva, which is a clear, watery fluid that helps to moisten and protect the mouth and digestive tract. It can be caused by a variety of different stimuli, such as food, emotions, or medications. Salivation is usually a normal response, but excessive salivation can be a symptom of an underlying medical condition. Symptoms of excessive salivation include drooling, difficulty swallowing, and a feeling of continually needing to swallow. In severe cases, it can lead to dehydration and malnutrition.
