Toxic shock syndrome - what does this mean

Toxic shock syndrome (tss) is a rare but life-threatening condition that can occur when bacteria enter the body and release toxins. these toxins can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, organ failure, and shock. it is most commonly associated with the use of super-absorbent tampons, but can also be caused by other types of bacterial infections.

How does a doctor diagnose

  • Take a medical history and physical examination to identify signs and symptoms.
