Viral warts - what does this mean

Viral warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (hpv) which is spread through skin-to-skin contact. the virus enters the top layer of the skin and causes it to grow rapidly, forming a wart. the warts can vary in size and shape and may appear on the hands, feet, or face.

What happens during the disease - viral warts

Причина бородавок — вирус папилломы человека (ВПЧ). При попадании в организм он может находиться в латентном состоянии длительное время — человек обычно даже не догадывается о его существовании. При появлении факторов, благоприятных для вируса, он начинает "размножаться" в эпителии, приводя к изменению тканей.

В отличие от других вирусов, вирус папилломы человека не разрушает клетки самого эпителия — они погибают самостоятельно, естественно — в процессе ороговения и отслаивания.

На распространение инфекции влияют местные факторы и состояние иммунной системы. 

Главный этап в появлении бородавок — ускорение скорости деления и роста клеток с помощью вируса. Такой быстрый метаболизм и приводит к утолщению слоёв кожи. Так как ткани разрастаются на определённом, небольшом участке, возникает бугорок, который и называют бородавкой
