Actinic reticuloid - what does this mean

Actinic reticuloid is an acquired skin disorder caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation, usually from the sun. it is characterized by an itchy, scaly rash, which can be red or brown in color, and usually appears on sun-exposed areas of the body such as the face, neck, arms, and hands.

What happens during the disease - actinic reticuloid

Actinic reticuloid is a rare, chronic skin disorder caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. it is characterized by the formation of red or purple patches on the skin that may be itchy or scaly. the patches are caused by an abnormal reaction of the skin to uv radiation, leading to the formation of abnormal collagen fibers in the skin. these collagen fibers cause the skin to become thickened and hardened, leading to the formation of the patches.
