Bloody discharge from the ear is a symptom of a more serious underlying condition, such as infection or trauma. It may appear as a trickle or a steady stream of bright red, dark red, or brownish blood. It may also be accompanied by other symptoms such as ear pain, hearing loss, dizziness, and/or a foul odor. The discharge may be intermittent or consistent, and can be caused by a variety of conditions, including infection, trauma, tumors, foreign objects, and even allergies.
