Nonsuppurative otitis media - what does this mean

Nonsuppurative otitis media is an inflammation of the middle ear without the presence of pus. it is caused by a viral or bacterial infection, or an allergic reaction, and is characterized by fluid buildup in the middle ear and a sense of fullness or pressure in the ear. symptoms may include hearing loss, ear pain, dizziness and a feeling of fullness in the ear.

What happens during the disease - nonsuppurative otitis media

Nonsuppurative otitis media is an inflammatory middle ear disorder caused by a viral or bacterial infection. it is characterized by a buildup of fluid and mucus in the middle ear, resulting in eustachian tube blockage, which prevents proper ventilation of the middle ear and leads to a buildup of pressure. this pressure causes a sensation of fullness in the ear, as well as hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo.
