Eversion of the eyelid is a condition in which the eyelid is turned outward, away from the eye. It usually begins as a mild twitching or pulling sensation around the eye, followed by an outward rolling of the lid. In severe cases, the lid can become completely inverted and the eye may appear to be closed. The condition can be caused by trauma, infection, or even an underlying neurological disorder. Symptoms can range from mild discomfort to severe pain and vision impairment. Treatment typically involves topical medications and/or surgery.
