Stupor is a state of reduced consciousness where a person is unresponsive and unable to respond to stimuli. It is characterized by a lack of alertness, awareness, and responsiveness to the environment. It can be caused by a variety of medical conditions and can range from mild to severe. Symptoms may include confusion, disorientation, lack of motor coordination, slurred speech, and unresponsiveness. In severe cases, stupor can progress to coma.
