Liver enlargement is a symptom of an underlying medical condition. It is characterized by an increase in the size of the liver, which can be felt in the right upper abdomen. It may develop gradually or suddenly, and can be accompanied by pain, nausea, vomiting, and jaundice. It can manifest as an enlarged liver on imaging, or as an elevated liver enzyme level on blood tests.
